"In 2015 we lived in Miami, and our two sons and their families lived in Austin. Because we wanted to buy a condo in Austin near those families so that we could more comfortably come on extended visits, one of the sons recommended Betty to us. Betty had helped that son and his wife buy their home a few years earlier. One morning, when we were in Miami, one of the daughters-in-law phoned us about an Austin condo that had come on the market and seemed just right. Within hours, Betty and the daughter-in-law were touring the condo and giving us a report. Based on that report and Betty’s advice, we made an offer on the condo that afternoon, even though we had not seen it in person. Very soon we had a signed contract. The condo was a wonderful base for our visits to Austin for the next four-plus years. By then, however, we were looking toward retirement, and a permanent move to Austin. We wanted a house in the same neighborhood as the condo, but such houses rarely came on the market. The son who lived in that neighborhood alerted us to a house that seemed to meet our needs; it was “Coming Soon,” according to a realtor’s sign posted in the front yard. We immediately phoned Betty. Once again and within hours, Betty was touring the house with a daughter-in-law and giving us a detailed report. Once again, we trusted Betty and made an offer, sight unseen by us. At 10 PM that night Betty was emailing us an offer to sign, and within days we had a signed contract on the house. Our hope was to secure the house before it was officially listed and thus to avoid a bidding war. Because of Betty’s diligence, it never got on the market. Betty successfully advised us on what price to offer and negotiated some adjustments based on needed repairs. We closed on the house in May 2019, and then Betty handled the marketing and sale of our condo. With her help we received what was then a record high price for a condo in our development. We deeply appreciate Betty’s real estate experience, expertise, professional contacts, and good judgment. She was always responsive, day and night, to our questions and requests, even though we were usually in Miami at that time. And she was able to negotiate successfully with the realtors on the other side. In 2020 we retired and moved to Austin after selling our Miami house of 40 years. Our Miami realtor complimented us on our preparations of that house for sale. But we had learned how to successfully sell the house from our experience with Betty.
